Individual Coaching
As a Chief Technology Officer, this client had developed exceptional technical skills over his career, but had not received any formal training in management. He wanted to build a tangible toolkit of communication and leadership skills that suited his unique leadership style.
Process: We used a variety of assessments, including DISCⓇ and the Positive Intelligence Saboteur Assessment, to better understand his natural leadership style. We then explored obstacles he needed to overcome to shift from individual contributor to fully stepping into the role of team leader. We explored how he could lean into his strengths to manage his team and communicate with colleagues across the organization in a way that felt easy and effective rather than performative.
Result: His team reports a greater level of satisfaction, autonomy and productivity. His supervisor reports increased cross-functional collaboration and a stronger leadership presence among the leadership team.

Team Coaching for a Business Unit
Goal: After a series of leadership transitions, a five-member business unit was suffering from low morale, interdepartmental conflicts and a negative reputation throughout the company. They wanted to realign around shared goals and improve their department’s “brand” with their colleagues.
Process: We first conducted individual interviews and behavioral assessments with each team member to identify the core issues they were facing individually and collectively. We then held a series of 5 team coaching sessions focused on better understanding one another’s preferred work styles, setting shared goals, creating workflow agreements, setting a vision and mission.
Result: Six months after the work, the team reported a greatly increased positive culture, renewed respect across the company, and increases in nearly all KPIs on their departmental goals.

Customized Small-Scale Training Program
Goal: A professional organization for emerging school leaders wanted to expand the capacity of its mentors by providing them with executive coaching skills.
Process: We developed a customized 6-month program for 16 experienced school administrators who serve as mentors to aspiring school leaders. The program included training on giving and receiving feedback, advanced listening skills, coaching for growth, change management and conflict resolution.
Result: The organization expanded its mentor coaching program to include executive coaching capabilities as well. Participants reported that they felt well equipped to expand their own professional capacities and better steward the next generation of school administrators.

Customized Large-Scale Learning & Development Program
Goal: A global retail business hired us to create a customized professional development program for new people managers with an emphasis on “coaching for growth” that could be scaled globally.
Process: Using employee insights, we developed a training program that addressed the major gaps that had been identified. The program was designed to teach core communication and leadership skills and be easily modified by language, region, culture and role. The project also included a Train the Trainer program so that it can be deployed in multiple languages.
Result: The pilot program had a 98% satisfaction rating by both participants and their supervisors and has since been scaled to all 5 global regions. ArtSpring Coaching has been engaged to design a Director+ level program, which is currently in development.
